Market Report- Sensex gains 180 points, Nifty above 26,000

The benchmark indices were trading higher on December 31, 2025, last trading session of the calendar year 2025 (CY25). Majority of the index heavyweights were trading in green. At 9.27 am, Sensex rose by 0.21% or 184 points to 84,863. The Nifty gained 0.29% or 74 points to 26,013.

Rupee Update-

Rupee opened at 89.84/$ Vs. December 30, close of 89.79/$.

Global Update-

Asia-Pacific markets fell on the holiday-shortened and final trading day of the year.

European stocks picked up steam on December 30, extending gains to notch a fresh record high.
