Benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty opened largely flat on Thursday. At 9:46 AM on September 25, the Sensex was up by 0.01% or 4 points at 73,598, while the Nifty was down by 0.04% or 10 points to 23,052.

The Indian rupee opened with marginal gains against the US dollar on September 25. The rupee opened 6 paise higher at 95.90 per dollar, compared with Thursday's close of 95.96.
