Midday Report- Markets in red amid global sell-off

The benchmark indices were trading under pressure on April 04, 2026, driven by a heavy sell-off in IT giants like Infosys and TCS following weak earnings guidance, compounded by Brent Crude spiking above $106 per barrel due to the escalating West Asia crisis. At 1.24 pm, Sensex slipped by 0.54% or 1100 points to 76,563. The Nifty dipped 0.41% or 306 points to 23,866.
