Midday Report- Markets trade with small gains

The benchmark indices were trading flat on July 29, sustained foreign fund outflows, and disappointing corporate earnings. Buying is seen in the metal, pharma, realty, while selling is seen in the PSU Bank, media, consumer durables, IT names. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices were trading flat. At 12.46 pm, Sensex rose by 0.01% or 9 points to 80,894. The Nifty gained 0.07% or 17 points to 24,699.
