Midday Report- Sensex down 585 points, Nifty below 24,900

The benchmark indices declined near 1% on July 25, 2025, led by continued selling by foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and a negative trend in Asian markets. The amid weakness Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv and among heavyweight stocks also led the markets to trade lower. Except pharma, all other sectoral indices ended in the red. BSE midcap slipped 1.26% and smallcap indices down 1.57%. At 12.39 pm, Sensex fell by 0.72% or 585 points to 81,597. The Nifty dipped by 0.74% or 183 points to 24,880.
