Indian indices-

The benchmark indices closed higher on June 26, 2025, on easing geopolitical tensions and all-round buying closed at a near nine-month high. Majority of the sectors ended in green barring Realty and IT stocks. The BSE midcap index rose 0.56% and smallcap index gained 0.12%. At close, the Sensex was up 1,000.36 points or 1.21% at 83,755.87. The Nifty was up 304.25 points or 1.21% at 25,549.

Rupee ended at 85.71/$ against June 25 close of 86.08/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Western Carriers rose 3.39% to Rs. 114.45, on winning order from Jindal Stainless.

2. Lloyds Metals and Energy gained 1.62% to Rs. 1,547.45, after environmental clearance to expand iron ore mining capacity.

3. Cummins India advanced 1.44% to Rs. 3,364.15, after it launched Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in line with the company's 'Destination Zero' strategy.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed, as investors continued to weigh the ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

European markets were higher. Dax surged 0.64%, FTSE 100 up 0.36%, CAC 40 gained 0.21%.
