Post Market Update- Indian equities end with minor losses

Stocks in the news-

Earnings-

1. Sky Gold and Diamonds Q2 net profit rose 91% YoY at Rs. 128 Cr.

2. Cipla Q2 net profit slipped 35% YoY at Rs. 878 Cr.

Indian indices-

Indian equities ended flat on October 27, 2026, as investors remained cautious despite positive global cues. Early gains faded during the session due to selling pressure in banking and IT stocks, while concerns over elevated crude oil prices and ongoing Middle East tensions kept many investors on the sidelines. Buying interest in a few heavyweight stocks was offset by weakness in banks and select technology shares. As a result, the Sensex and Nifty closed largely unchanged from their previous session levels. The Sensex slipped by 0.02% or 8 points to 73,598.67. The Nifty dipped 0.01% or 3.45 points to 22,749.

Rupee closed at 95.12 /$ Vs. Monday's close of 95.19/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. VA Tech Wabag jumped 7.41% to Rs. 1,833.95, after securing a mega order from Reliance Industries.

2. Valiant Communications gained 15.06% to Rs. 1,600, after the company announced that it had received a domestic order worth Rs. 14.76 crore, inclusive of taxes, for grid communication and grid protection solutions.

3. Tata Consumer Products rallied 6.66% to Rs. 999, after the company reported a 15.65% jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 470.14 crore in Q2 FY27 compared with Rs 406.51 crore in Q2 FY26.

4. Bank of Maharashtra rose 3.75% to Rs. 78.95, after the company reported a 41.42% year-on-year (YoY) jump in standalone net profit to Rs 2,309.59 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27), compared with Rs 1,633.14 crore in Q2 FY26.

Asian markets advanced following a rally on wall street and Oil price fell.

European markets trade mixed as investors monitor earnings and oil prices.
