Post Market Update- Markets extend rally for third straight session

Indian indices-

Indian stock markets closed higher on June 16, 2026, extending their gains for the third consecutive session, supported by positive global cues, easing crude oil prices, and renewed foreign fund inflows. IT stocks lift market and the top gaining sectoral index. Except Auto, Pharma, PSU Bank, Metal, all other sectoral indices ended in the green. At close, the Sensex was up 544.15 points or 0.71% at 76,808.48, and the Nifty was up 135.25 points or 0.57% at 23,989.15.

Nifty crossed the 24,000 marks for the first time during the session.

Rupee ended at 94.56/$ Vs. June 15 close of 94.71/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Arvind SmartSpaces rose 1.92% to Rs. 606, after new Ahmedabad residential project.

2. Concord Enviro Systems surged 12.86% to Rs. 302.75, after its wholly owned subsidiary, Rochem Separation Systems (India) has secured an order worth about Rs 16 crore from a leading domestic steel manufacturer.

3. NBCC (India) added 1.72% to Rs. 109.15, after it has secured two project management consultancy (PMC) orders with a combined value of approximately Rs 20.92 crore.

Global Signals-

Asian markets closed higher on positive global cues and easing crude oil prices.

European markets were trading higher supported by positive global sentiment and easing oil prices.
