Post Market Update- Sensex down 230 points, Nifty below 25,700

Indian indices-

Indian equities ended lower on January 14, 2026, as investors remained cautious amid continued foreign fund outflows and global tariff-related concerns. At close, the Sensex was down 244.98 points or 0.29% at 83,382.71, and the Nifty was down 66.70 points or 0.26% at 25,665.60.

Both the BSE and NSE will remain closed tomorrow, January 15, 2026, on account of municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra.

Rupee ended at 90.30/$ against January 13, 2026, close of 90.19/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Puravankara jumped 9.82% to Rs. 252.75, on Q3 business update impact.

2. Hindustan Zinc gained 3.90% to Rs. 654.40, as silver prices hit lifetime highs.

3. Indian Overseas Bank rose 1.83% to Rs. 36.10, after the bank’s standalone net profit jumped 56.25% to Rs 1,365.12 crore in Q3 FY26 as against Rs 873.66 crore in Q3 FY25.
