Post Market Update- Sensex gains 308 pts, Nifty reclaims 23,000

Stocks in the news-

1. ACME Solar signed PPA with NTPC for 400 ISTS connected FDRE project at a tariff of Rs. 4.37/unit.

2. Oswal Pumps gets order worth Rs. 236 Cr from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company.

Earnings-

1. Aditya Birla Capital Q2 net profit up 38% YoY at Rs. 1,288 Cr.

2. Kirloskar Ferrous Q2 net profit rose 10.2% YoY at Rs. 97.5 Cr.

Indian indices-

Indian equities closed higher on October 30, 2026, led by strong gains in IT stocks. Positive sentiment from recent corporate earnings boosted select heavyweight stocks. However, gains were capped by higher crude oil prices and weakness in banking stocks. At close, the Sensex was up 308.49 points or 0.42% at 74,459.53, and the Nifty was up 116.35 points or 0.51% at 23,053.10.

Rupee closed at 94.95/$ Vs. Thursday’s close of 95.26/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Deepak Nitrite rose 2.19% to Rs. 1,510, after the company reported a 235% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs. 398 crores in Q2 FY27.

2. Trent gained 5.20% to Rs. 3,015.10, after the company reported an 8.63% YoY increase in standalone net profit to Rs 489.65 crore in Q2 FY27.

Global Signals-

Asia stocks tumbled as AI spending concerns deepen; BOJ holds rates.

European shares fell as AI spending worries hit tech, although the benchmark index was still on track for its best month since June on strong corporate earnings.
