Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended higher for the fourth consecutive day on June 17, 2026, amid strong positive cues. The gains in the market were led by a sharp fall in crude oil prices, improving foreign investor sentiment, and strength in IT and consumption stocks. However, sustainability will depend on global central bank cues and domestic factors like the monsoon. The Sensex rose by 0.40% or 347.14 points to 77,155.62. Nifty gained 0.45% or 96.55 points to 24,085.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Infosys rose 1.29% to Rs. 1,158.10, after partnering with Valmet to modernize IT operations through AI.

2. Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences up 1.86% to Rs. 792.65 after its Finance & Investment Committee approved the launch of a qualified institutional placement (QIP) and fixed the floor price at Rs. 771.73 per equity share.

3. NBCC gained 3.39% to Rs. 112.85, after Rs. 2,857 crore commercial space sale in New Delhi.

Global Signals-

Asian markets closed mixed, with gains in Japan offset by weakness in China and Hong Kong.

European markets were trading cautiously higher as investors await key global cues and central bank signals.
