Post Market Update- Sensex surges 303 points, Nifty at 25,638

Stocks in the news-

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended the week's last trading session in positive territory on June 27, 2025, amid buying across the sectors. Among sectors, except IT and realty, all other indices ended in the green. BSE Midcap index rose 0.38% and smallcap index gained 0.54%. At close, the Sensex was up 303.03 points or 0.36% at 84,058.90. The Nifty was up 88.80 points or 0.35% at 25,637.80.

Rupee ended at 85.48/$ against June 26 close of 85.70/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Akzo Nobel India Ltd jumped 6.65% to Rs. 3,405, after promoters announced India business sale to JSW Paints.

2. Hitachi Energy India Ltd gained 2.74% to Rs. 19,939, on securing deal from Power Grid Corporation.

3. Jio Financial Services Ltd rose 3.57% to Rs. 323.55, after SEBI grants certificate of registration for Jio BlackRock JV.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed as investors assessed China's May industrial data.

European markets were higher. CAC 40 up 1.28%, DAX up 0.66%, FTSE up 0.52%.
