The benchmark indices were trading in red on October 24, despite of positive global cues. Majority of the sectors were trading in red. At 9.21 am, Sensex slipped by 0.13% or 117 points to 84,472. The Nifty dipped by 0.08% or 20 points to 25,877.

European stocks ended in positive territory as investors looked to earnings reports for clues on business activity and confidence in the region.
US markets closed higher, Nasdaq gained nearly 1%.
