Midday Report- Sensex down 600 points, Nifty below 25,700

The benchmarks indices have hit fresh session lows, with both the Sensex and Nifty declining nearly 1% once again. This downward spiral marks the fifth consecutive day of losses. The markets fell on foreign fund outflows and renewed concerns over US tariff hikes. Most of the sectoral indices were trading in red. At 12.54 pm, Sensex slipped by 0.71% or 604 points to 83,575. The Nifty dipped by 0.72% or 186 points to 25,692.

Global Update-

Defence stocks across Asia climbed Friday as investors continued to monitor ongoing geopolitical tensions.

European markets were expected to open in positive territory.
