Post Market Update- Benchmark indices rebound after two-day decline

Indian indices-

Indian equities rebounded from a two-day losing streak and ended higher on September 16, 2026, supported by buying in index heavyweights across banking, financial, and auto stocks. Gains in heavyweight stocks such as Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Larsen & Toubro aided the recovery. Majority of the sectoral indices ended in green. At close, the Sensex was up 332.63 points or 0.45% at 74,336.45, and the Nifty was up 99.00 points or 0.43% at 23,217.60.

Rupee closed unchanged at 95.96/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Saatvik Green Energy rose 5.61% to Rs. 411.50, on order win impact from SECI.

2. India Pesticides gained 4.27% to Rs. 137.90, on product approvals from UK, Argentina.

3. Godavari Biorefineries advanced 6.45% to Rs. 241.75, after China's patent office granted the company a patent for compounds used in treating viral infections.
