Post Market Update- Markets close higher on buying support.

Stocks in the news-

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended higher on July 23, 2025, after the US-Japan trade deal raised hopes of further agreements. The buying across sectors along with heavyweights also supported Indian market. Among sectors realty, media, FMCG index fell, while auto, metal, oil & gas, consumer durables, pharma, private bank, PSU Bank, telecom gained. BSE Midcap added 0.24% and smallcap index ended flat. At close, the Sensex was up 539.83 points or 0.66 percent at 82,726.64, and the Nifty was up 159 points or 0.63 percent at 25,219.90.

Rupee ended at 86.41/$ against July 22 close of 86.37/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Ideaforge Technology declined 7.98% to Rs. 501, after the company reported consolidated net loss of Rs.23.55 crore in Q1 FY26 compared with net profit of Rs. 1.17 in Q1 FY25.

2. Welspun Specialty Solutions (WSSL) declined 3.75% to Rs. 33.60, after the company reported a net loss of Rs 0.75 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to a net profit of Rs 1.95 crore posted in Q1 FY25.

3. Aditya Birla Real Estate slipped 5.43% to Rs. 2019, after the firm reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 25.47 crore in Q1 FY26 compared with a net profit of Rs 7.78 crore in Q1 FY25.

Global Signals-

Asian markets rose after US President Donald Trump announced that he had completed a "massive Deal" with Japan, which set tariffs of 15% on the country’s exports to the US.

European stocks rose strongly after a trade deal between the US and Japan raised investors' confidence.
