Post Market Update- Markets end 2025 with Bang. Sensex up 546 pts, Nifty above 26,100

Stocks in the news-

1. ShaktiPumps bagged order worth Rs. 170 cr from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam.

2. Waaree Energies secured order for supply of 1,500 MW solar modules.

3. Solar Industries India gets an additional order worth Rs. 1,746 cr from Coal India.

Indian indices-

The Indian equity markets closed out 2025 on a higher note on December 31, 2025, with the Nifty 50 ending above the 26,100 mark. The rally was largely driven by a surge in metal stocks following the government's decision to protect domestic players from cheap imports. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices added nearly 1% each. On the sectoral front, except IT, all other indices closed in the green. At close, Sensex was up 545.52 points or 0.64% at 85,220.60, and the Nifty was up 190.75 points or 0.74% at 26,129.60.

Rupee ended at 89.87/$ against December 30 close of 89.79/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Dynacons Systems & Solutions surged 11.42% to Rs. 1,016.85, after announcing order win from RBI with a total cost of ownership of Rs. 249.15 crores.

2. Power Grid Corporation of India rose 1.63% to Rs. 264.55, after the company said that it has declared a successful bidder for the 2,000 MWh battery energy storage project.

3. IFCI surged 4.99% to Rs. 52.98, after the company announced the sale of its equity stake in North Eastern Development Finance Corporation.

4. Vodafone Idea shares declined 10.85% to Rs. 10.76, from highs after five-year AGR dues moratorium.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets fell on the holiday-shortened and final trading day of the year.

European stocks were trading in green on the last trading day of the year.
