Indian indices-
After seeing a positive start, Indian equity markets traded lower on June 17, 2025, as investors remained cautious with the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran. Except IT, all other sectoral indices ended in the red. Pharma stocks fell as Donald Trump said, 'pharma tariffs coming very soon'. The BSE midcap slipped 0.56% and smallcap dipped 0.67%. At close, the Sensex was down 212.85 points or 0.26% at 81,583.30. The Nifty was down 93.10 points or 0.37% at 24,853.40.
Rupee ended at 86.24/$ against June 16 close of 86.07/$.
Buzzing stocks on BSE-
1. Tanla Platforms gained 2.97% to Rs. 676.40, after board approved buyback of up to 20 lk shares.
2. Rane (Madras) surged 11.60% to Rs. 1,005.75, after the company's board approved the sale of a significant land parcel in Tamil Nadu.
3. Trishakti Industries rose 2.74% to Rs. 155.40, as it bagged contract from Jindal Stainless.
