Post Market Update- Sensex falls 502 points, Nifty below 25,000.

1. Indian Overseas Bank Q1 net profit up 76% YoY at Rs. 1,111 Cr.

2. Hindustan Zinc Q1 net Profit down 4.7% at Rs. 2,234 Cr

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended the session on a weak note on July 18, 2025, dragged by declines in Axis Bank, Kotak Bank and Bharti Airtel. Except media and metal, all other sectoral indices ended in the red. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices shed 0.6% each. At close, the Sensex was down 501.51 points or 0.61% at 81,757.73. The Nifty was down 143.05 points or 0.57% at 24,968.40.

Rupee ended at 86.15/$ against July 17, 2025, close of 86.08/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Route Mobile fell 4.78% to Rs. 960.70, after the company's consolidated net profit declined 32.23% to Rs. 53.21 crore in Q1 FY26.

2. Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) added 1.56% to Rs 765.80, after the company’s consolidated net profit rose 19.31% to Rs. 296.37 crore in Q1 FY26.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific traded mixed after Wall Street gains on the back of strong US economic data reports and a slew of better-than-expected corporate earnings.

European markets were in green. CAC 40 up 0.25%, FTSE 100 up 0.03% and DAX up 0.01%.
