Indian indices-

Indian equities closed higher on July 08, as buying was seen among index heavyweights. Investors remained on the sidelines awaiting clarity on US and India trade deal. Among sectoral indices, strength was observed in Realty, Banking, and Financial Services, while underperformance was noted in Consumer Durables, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, and the Automobile space. At close, the Sensex was up 270.01 points or 0.32% at 83,712.51. The Nifty was up 61.20 points or 0.24% at 25,522.50.

Rupee ended at 85.70/$ against June 07, close of 85.85/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Nectar Lifesciences declined 19.99% to Rs. 18.53, after announcing sale of core business for Rs. 1,270 crores.

2. JSW Infrastructure surged by 2.16% to Rs. 311.80, after securing a project worth Rs. 740 crores from the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority.

3. Rajesh Power Services rose 4.69% to Rs. 1,413.40, after bagging Rs. 220-crore order from Madhya Gujarat.
