Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended sharply lower on September 24, 2026, led by rising global bond yields, higher crude oil prices, and broad-based selling across key sectors. Weak global cues and rate hike concerns in the US weighed on investor sentiment throughout the session. At close, the Sensex was down 1,247.71 points or 1.67% at 73,580.54, and the Nifty was down 383.70 points or 1.64% at 23,063.10.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Vikran Engineering surged 9.51% to Rs. 61.40, after securing Rs. 154 crore order from Power Grid Corp.

2. Avantel climbed 6.57% to Rs. 155.75, after bagging Rs. 177 cr supply order from Zetwerk Manufacturing Business.

Global Signals-

US equities declined overnight and Asian markets traded mixed to lower, prompting a risk-off mood among investors.

European markets traded lower, pressured by rising bond yields, elevated oil prices, and renewed rate-hike concerns.
