Post Market Update- Sensex rises 356 points, Nifty above 25,100

Stocks in the news-

1. Paras Defence secured order worth Rs. 26.60 cr from Defence Ministry.

2. TCS signed MoU with C-DAC to strengthen India's sovereign cloud infrastructure.

3. Adani Enterprises arm signed Share Purchase Agreement to acquire 100% stake in DP Jain & Co Infra.

4. BHEL bagged order worth Rs. 23 cr from Indian Railways for KAVACH Project equipment.

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices closed the last day of week on a positive note on September 12, 2025, amid growing expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate cut next week. On the sectoral front, auto, pharma, metal, telecom added 0.5-1%, while realty, FMCG, media, PSU Bank ended lower. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices were flat. At close, the Sensex was up 355.97 points or 0.44% at 81,904.70, and the Nifty was up 108.50 points or 0.43% at 25,114.

Rupee ended at 88.28/$ against September 11 close of 88.44/$.

1. JBM Auto shares jumped 13.88% to Rs. 712.35, after unit bags $100 million IFC investment for e-buses.

2. Infosys rose 1.06% to Rs. 1,525.55, after IT giant announces its largest buyback of Rs. 18,000 crores.

3. Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd advanced 5.79% to Rs. 691.90, on bagging order worth Rs. 26.6 crore from Opto Electronics Factory

Global Signals-

Asian markets joined global equity rally after US indices hit record.

European equities trade mixed. FTSE 100 up 0.32%, CAC 40 down 0.45% and Dax down 0.27%.
