Market Report- Sensex down 300 points, Nifty below 24,550

The benchmark indices were trading lower on August 08, 2025, as President Donald Trump decision to double tariffs on Indian goods to 50%. Most of the index heavyweights were trading in red. At 9.31 am, Sensex slipped by 0.41% or 330 points to 80,300. The Nifty fell by 0.32% or 78 points to 24,517.

Rupee opened at 87.56/$ Vs. August 07 close of 87.70/$.
