1. July WPI inflation came in at -0.58% Vs. -0.13% (MoM).

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended the last trading session of the week with modest gains on August 14, 2025. On the sectoral front, metal and oil & gas down 1% each, realty and FMCG down 0.5% each, while Consumer Durables and IT rose 0.5% each. The BSE midcap index was down 0.2% and smallcap index shed 0.6%. At close, the Sensex was up 57.75 points or 0.07%t at 80,597.66. The Nifty was up 11.95 points or 0.05% at 24,631.30.

Rupee closed at 87.55/$ against August 13 close of 87.44/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. CSB Bank fell 2.14% to Rs. 376.95, after sharp contraction in NIMs, asset quality deterioration in Q1.

2. Infosys up 1.50% to Rs. 1,447.45, after company forms joint venture with Telstra, acquires 75% stake in Versent Group.

3. IRB Infrastructure Developers gained 1.38% to Rs. 45.41, after its Q1 profit jumped 45% YoY on strong toll collections, declares dividend.

Global Signals-

Asia-Pacific markets close mixed as investors bet on Fed rate cut.

European markets were higher. DAX up 0.46%, CAC 40 up 0.27% and FTSE 100 down 0.08%.
