Post Market Update- Sensex jumps 304 points, Nifty ends at 24,619

Stocks in the news-

Indian indices-

Indian equities ended with strong gains on August 13, 2025, following firm global markets and easing domestic retail inflation data. All sectoral indices ended in the green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 0.5% each. At close, the Sensex was up 304.32 points or 0.38% at 80,539.91, and the Nifty was up 131.95 points or 0.54% at 24,619.35.

Rupee ended at 87.44/$ against August 12 close of 87.71/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. One 97 Communications Ltd (Paytm) surged 3.07% to Rs. 1,154.30, after RBI nod to arm to act as an online payment's aggregator.

2. NMDC Steel jumped 19.99% to Rs. 43.10, after reporting profit for the first time and highest-ever revenue in Q1.

3. Avanti Feeds advanced 2.19% to Rs. 679.25, after the company's consolidated net profit jumped 39.08% to Rs. 178.28 crore in Q1 FY26.

4. Landmark Cars gained 11.15% to Rs. 530, after the company reported a 117.3% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs. 6.91 crore in Q1 FY26.
