Post Market Update- Sensex jumps 314 pts, Nifty close at 24,869

Stocks in the news-

1. Alembic Pharma gets final USFDA nod for Phytonadione injectable emulsion USP, to treat Hypoprothrombinemia.

3. Waaree Renewables gets LoA for a solar power project worth Rs. 1,252 cr from Waaree Forever Energies.

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended higher on September 09, 2025, followed by IT major Infosys which will have a meeting on September 11, to consider share buyback. On the sectoral front, IT index were up 2.76%, pharma and FMCG up 0.5% each, while oil & gas, realty indices were down 0.3% each. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices up 0.2% each. At close, the Sensex was up 314.02 points or 0.39% at 81,101.32, The Nifty was up 95.45 points or 0.39% at 24,868.60.

Rupee ended at 88.10/$ against September 05, 2025, close of 88.27/$.

1. RailTel Corporation of India Ltd rose 5.41% to Rs. 364.50, after company bagged orders worth Rs. 660 cr from Bihar Education Project Council.

2. Infosys Ltd surged 5.03% to Rs. 1,504.75, after company announced to consider share buyback proposal on September 11.

Global Signals-

Asian markets traded mixed after Wall Street gains on tech rally.

European stocks inched higher, helped by mining giant Anglo American's share price surge after it unveiled a merger with Canada's Teck Resources.
